This was my second visit to Ash'Kara and I was just as impressed the second time as I was the first time. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and has an intimate feeling. The staff was all very professional and did a good job checking up on us but also letting us sit there, we did not feel rushed at all. The food is all very fresh and couldn't recommend all dishes on the Mezze menu. We were so full that we ordered our main dish to go. Recommend this for anyone looking for Mediterranean in the Lohi neighborhood!

Missing photo of the lamb. Went to happy hour at the LoHi location, and was not disappointed. I got to experience the Boulder location when it first opened through a friend. I was hoping for a similar experience this time around. All of the flavors that I had experience prior still rings true this time. The falafel is perfect on the inside with a lovely, crunchy texture and not too over fried. The sauce at the falafel came on was delicious as well. A lot of people over fry falafel and end up ruining everything, however, this place does it right. I have never had fried halloumi before. This was a mess for me. There wasn't really a whole lot of flavoring on the halloumi. It was just like fried cheese. And top of that it was super salty. It came with a cubed, starch fried thing, that was also just super salty. The hummus was great, as always, and the pita bread is made fresh and arrived warm. I will say I wish the pita had been cooked a little longer as the insides of the Peto were still a bit. Dowie and the pita was missing characteristic trademarks of a lightly toasted outside. The flavor profile of the pita and hummus are amazing. We also ordered the lamb, and this exceeded expectations. The lamb wasn't overpowering in terms of the normal lamb experience. There was a cucumber almost Yuzu like sauce with it, and I felt at this complimented it very well. I went during happy hour, so I wasn't expecting good service. The servers were all very nice and the pacing was great. I love that they include a 20% tip automatically.

I came here for a Thursday dinner out with the ladies. I came during Denver restaurant week. Mid sized place but really cute ambiance and great for a solo dine in or small groups. Since note a huge restaurant not sure for large groups. Service was great and friendly. We had a first course app and I got the hummus...since I was hungry I also got the spiced fries and had a glass of chardonnay. The spiced fries with aioli were amazing! I am a wimp when it comes to spice but I downed them. The hummus was a great size and would be good for sharing. The pita that came with it was light and fluffy. For dinner I had the chicken za'atar. It was pretty good but I think I would try another entree. However, the chicken was well cooked and the roasted broccoli was nice. Had the sauce cake for dessert (which was soaked in a nice simply syrup) and I am a fan. Cute spot in Denver and I would like to come back here with some friends.

In Denver and looking for a good Mediterranean spot for lunch. We have tried to get in at AshKara for dinner on previous trips, unsuccessfully. Today we will try them for lunch. We are not super hungry, so a light lunch will suffice. I ordered the Ash gyro sandwich with lamb shawarma, lemon pepper tahini, feta, tzasaki, pickle onions and cucumbers. There was a small side dish of pickled veggies. The pita was big and full of fresh ingredients. The sauce was good and the sandwich was not over-dressed. The side of pickles were delicious. We also ordered the lamb bowl with greens, pickled onions, tomato and cucumbers, cardamon and tumeric spiced rice. The lamb had good flavor and not dry. The bowl was fine, just not a WOW factor. We had looked at the menu and viewed many more interesting dishes on the dinner menu. The lunch menu is generally more limited. The food here was good, solid and tasty but not maybe a fair measure of AshKara. On a future trip to Denver, we would like to give them a chance to dazzle us with their dinner selections. We will just need to call earlier for dinner reservations.

Visited Denver and got recommended to try Ash'Kara. The dips and bread were really good but we wish we skipped the Tajin.

Mediterranean food used to be one of the cuisines I overlooked the most BUT I am happy to report, I've officially seen the error of my ways! Now, I'm here for all the hummus, pita, feta, spices, and an olive for good measure. Enter ash'karay, where they're giving Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes a modern twist, all cooked over a wood-burning hearth. Plus, they recently got a pretty special shoutout from a very well-known tire company! WOW! What I ordered: marinated feta, hummus, pita, roti, tahini Caesar salad, lamb kofte, za'atar roasted chicken, grilled Verlasso salmon, honey spice cake Best bite: Honestly? Everything was fantastic, but the marinated feta was my best bite! The orange zest and spices take this Bulgarian feta to a whole different category of its own! Loved the za'atar roasted chicken and lamb kofte too, both perfectly cooked and seasoned. And, of course, you have to get the hummus and pita.

One of my favorite spots in Denver! They have patio seating when it's nice weather and the inside is cozy but refined. All the servers are knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to your needs. Try the warm fresh pita and all the tasty dips!

Patio was great to sit at and have a cocktail and appetizers. Servers were super friendly. The hummus and falafel were amazing! We also got the carrot kibbeh nayyeh which was a bit sweet for my taste.
